New book!

We liked Bread and Roses, and reccomend it to young readers! We read Armagedon Summer, by Jane Yolen and Bruce Colleville. We liked it but it was a little dark. Now we are reading Red Scarf Girl, by Ji-Li Jiang. We have not met yet, but will soon.

Home again.

We had a wonderful trip and cannot wait to do it again. We loved seeing the Laura Ingalls Wilder exhibits and being where they lived. It was sensational and we loved every minute of it.

Trip Time!

Well, we finally met again, and we thoroughly enjoyed Chasing Redbird. It was interesting, yet thoughtful, almost. We recommend it, but right now we have other news. We are planning a trip to South Dakota to see the Laura Ingalls Wilder homestead. It is going to be a ton of fun!! We will update after the trip, or during, depending on our computer access.

New Book!

Our new book is Chasing Redbird by Sharon Creech. We will update when we meet again.

Witch and Wizard

We disliked Witch and Wizard. We thought the story line was confusing, the author was trying too hard, and the characters were not expressed well. It was interesting on my part, but not good writing after all.

New books!

Well, we finished Caddie Woodlawn, and thought it was a similar book to the Laura Ingals Wilder series. It was a book that was very interesting because it talked about art. Then we read To Kill a Mocking Bird. It was excelent and we had a very interesting conversation about it. Now we are reading a book called Witch & Wizard. I will update again when we have finished this book.
