Great Idea, Moxiepoet!
What a fun way to keep everyone safe! As you may have noticed, Moxiepoet uses letters of the alphabet to refer to friends. What a clever system. I have to run!
Blog Info and History
Great idea to start this blog, Burninggirl!
In order to keep all the members safe, let's remember to follow smart internet guidelines and not share any personal information about where we live or what our real names are.
Our Mother-Daughter Book Club has been in action for about six months now. Below is a list of the books we've read so far:
The Giver, by Lois Lowry
A Wrinkle in Time, by Madeleine L'Engle
Ashes of Roses, by Mary Jane Auch
Island of the Blue Dolphins, by Scott O'Dell
Framed, by Frank Cottrell Boyce
At our meetings, we like to drink tea and talk about the books and think about the different themes and choices the author makes. Plus we're all good friends, so we look forward to catching up on each other's lives and spending a few warm hours together.
Yesterday's discussion of Framed at L and A's house was really fun, and I appreciated the home-baked cookies that A's dad made for us! I also loved that Dutch, A's chocolate lab, had a few things to say about the book, too. :)
S and O are hosting the next meeting at their house in December, so they will let us know what the next book will be...
Hey!
Welcome to the Mother/Daughter Book Club Blog! Here will be posted lists of books that the club read, along with reviews of how we liked it. Our next book is undecided.
